Warrior Princess from Guest DT Jennifer

By Olga Odinets - 11:30 PM

Hi everyone!  Today I’m sharing a card using ‘Warrior Princess’.
I used Fire Alpalca to import and adjust the size of the digital stamp before printing it out on Neenah solar white 80lb card stock and again on masking paper.  I cut the mask out and adhered it to the image in order to ink blend the background.

I used distress oxide inks for the background and then created a subtle ‘rays of light’ effect by daubing white pigment ink using masking paper.  I had an extra strip of paper on which I’d practiced my color blend.
I used this strip to die cut hearts and stars which I adhered to the background to give some extra interest.  (It was looking super plain!) Once the background was complete I colored the warrior princess in using copic markers.

The copic colors I used are as follows:
Hair: E31, E55, E53, E37, E47
Dress: BV31, BV13, BV17, RV14, RV17

To finish the card I added the ‘Have a wonderful day’ label sentiment and some metallic/glitter accents to her crown and sword.  That’s it for today - thanks so much for reading along!   For more of my work stop by my blog at Iris and Oak or my instagram
