Dream Charlie from Guest DT Kristina

By Olga - 10:00 AM

I discovered the world of paper art in the year 2007. Since then I have tried oceans of techniques and styles. Today I'm totally stuck in cardmaking. I love making my own card scene with distress ink and glimmer mist. I color my stamp motivs with promarkers. You can find my work on Instagram as @scrapsalig. I also have a blog, but I'm not posting very frequently.

It's Valentine's Day and I'm very honoured to be guest designer for Little Blue Button stamps today. My name is Kristina and I call myself ScrapSalig on the web. ScrapSalig means a person who gets very, very excited when it comes to scrapbooking and paper art.

I have used the adorable stamp Dream Charlie and colored her with Promarkers. I always go from light to dark when I'm coloring. Here's the combinations I used:

Red, shiny hair: Gold, Amber, Orange, Crimson, Henna, Umber
Skin: Almons, Soft Peach, Sunkissed Pink, Tan, Honeycomb, Spice, Teracotta, Walnut
Light Green for the shirt and hair band: Lime Zest, Lime Green, Bright green, Forest Green
The blue cup: Powder Blue, Blue Pearl, Cornflower, denom Blue

I created a frame and a curtain to make the card look like a café. The frame and the background is colored with distress inks and some glimmermist. I also used a stencil to make it look like stones. Here is the distress ink combinations I used:

Stone frame and curtain: Weathered Wood, Hickory Smoke, Black Soot
Brown background: Antique Linnen, Brushed Corduro, Ground Expresso

I hope you liked my creation and that you now are feeling inspired for Valentine's Day! Thank you for stepping by!

Best regards;
